The city of Lawrence reported Sept. 17 the theft of a double parking meter from the 800 block of New Hampshire Street. According to a police report, the incident occurred between 3 p.m. Sept. 17 and 3 p.m. Sept. 18. The meter was worth an estimated $1,000.
