Kansas University’s tennis team opened the season at the KU Invitational with a 5-3 showing from its singles players Friday at the Jayhawk Tennis Facility.

In addition, the Jayhawks sent two doubles teams to today’s finals.

KU freshmen Dylan Windom and Paulina Los advanced to the finals of the Blue Doubles Flight.

KU freshmen Amy Barnthouse and Teagan Seeley also made it to the doubles finals in the Red Flight.

KU singles winners were Windom, junior Erin Wilbert, junior Ekaterina Morozova and sophomore Monica Pezzotti.

Play will continue today at the Jayhawk Tennis Facility.
