MS bike ride begins Sept. 25 in Topeka

There’s still time to join about 300 bicyclists in the Bike MS Eastern Kansas ride on Sept. 25 and 26.

The money raised will provide research and support for the 8,000 people living with multiple sclerosis in Kansas and western Missouri.

The ride begins Sept. 25 in Topeka and winds west on scenic Kansas roads. Bicyclists can ride 30, 67 or 100 miles.

On Sept. 26, it’s a 54-mile ride around Lake Perry. The figure-8 route is designed as a cycling adventure for riders of all skill levels. It also offers several route options.

Cyclists and spinners also can participate by cranking out the miles on spin bikes. The virtual ride will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at Seaman Middle School, 5620 N.W. Topeka Blvd, in Topeka.

Registration is $30 online at MSmidamerica.org. Each participant is required to raise at least $200. Anyone interested in riding or volunteering also can call 913-432-3926, ext. 2.
