The sound of gunshots near 10th and New Hampshire streets about 2 a.m. Sunday spurred an investigation by the Lawrence police.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Bronson Star, a Lawrence police officer heard multiple shots fired in the area of the 1000 block of New Hampshire. Star said the shots came from the Berkley Plaza parking lot next to Maceli’s, where a large gathering was taking place.

Star said an investigation revealed that someone pulled a gun in the parking lot and fired multiple shots. Police located gun casings in the lot. No injuries have been reported at this time, and there are no suspects in the case.
