Baker football edged, 24-16

? Baker University’s football team dropped its third straight game when it fell to No. 6 MidAmerica Nazarene, 24-16, on Saturday.

Aarron Terill and Scott Meyer combined for 105 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Baker. Freshman quarterback Zach Faust went 12-for-29 with 138 yards and one interception.

The Wildcats couldn’t answer the Pioneers’ 16-point third quarter.

“The guys continue to play their heart out,” Baker coach Mike Grossner said. “We just didn’t make enough plays to win the football game.”

The Wildcats (0-3) will play host to Avila on Saturday.
