Cyclists bare all to promote cleaner air

September 7, 2010

— Hundreds of naked and partially nude cyclists have pedaled their way through Philadelphia to promote bicycling awareness and cleaner air.

Some of the buff bikers wore body paint, some were in bathing suits and some were completely naked.

This was the second year for the Philly Naked Bike Ride. Similar rides have taken place in more than 70 cities worldwide since 2004.

The bicyclists pedaled several miles through the city on Sunday evening.

A few months back there was some kind of protest in Colorado about how women always have to wear tops, but men don' in this protest they (women) went around topless.

Then they got angry because some men started staring at them.

So they took their protest and went home.

I guess they didn't realize that each guy staring was probably completely in favor of women never having to wear tops again.

One (myself included) might have thought that a real news service would have included an explanation for why so many Philadelphia activists could break the law without serious repercussions. Did they repeal the law? Did they break the law? Do they not enforce certain laws? Did the reporter simply fail to report the many arrests for public indecency? Are we not supposed to know what really happened? If so, then how is this news ?
