What were you when you were scouted? Drinking coffee at Aimee’s Coffee House.

How would you describe your style? Effeminate machismo.

What are your current favorite fashion trends? I object to trends in general because they aren’t about individuality. I do like the fake glasses, bandanas and glam-80s style I’ve seen about town recently.

What are your least favorite fashion trends? Sneaker-culture, comfort-oriented clothing in the wrong environment and all of the Cosmo don’ts.

What would you like to see more of in Lawrence? Costume-style dress-up parties, neighborhood beautification projects and block parties, drag queens, bloomers and burlesque.

What would you like to see less of in Lawrence? Litter bugs, red and blue keg cups in my front yard, and gaggles of squawking co-eds.

Do you have any fashion influences? Bruce Lee’s off-set style, Paul Lynde’s summer scarves and Adam Ant’s Native American/pirate vibe. And rodeo clowns–for their tough attitudes, star-emblems and handkerchiefs.

Do you have any piercings or tattoos? No tattoos. Now, oddly enough, it makes me unique and sets me apart.

People say I look like: When I had long hair, people said all sorts of things. I used to get Tom Waits a lot, too, but I’m pleased that typically I’m not told that I resemble anyone.

Tell us a secret: I’m heterosexual.
