Man taken to hospital after motorcycle accident near Nortonville

A 43-year-old-man from Nortonville was taken to a Topeka hospital Saturday afternoon after a motorcycle accident on Kansas Highway 4, just east of U.S. Highway 59.

623 feet east of U59 or 1/2 mile south of Nortonville.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Mark Miller was driving his 2008 Harley Davidson east on Highway 59 when the motorcycle left the road and overturned.

Miller, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to Stormont-Vail HealthCare in Topeka.

Yvonne Etzel, media contact at Stormont-Vail, said the patient is currently in serious condition.
