A 25-year-old Haskell Indian Nations University student was arrested Saturday afternoon after an alleged sexual assault Saturday morning.
According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Randy Roberts, the incident occurred between 3 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on the Haskell campus. The victim, a 21-year-old Haskell student, claimed she was sexually assaulted by the suspect.
The suspect was arrested on charges of aggravated criminal sodomy, rape, criminal restraint and theft about 4:15 p.m.
Roberts said police detectives were working on the case.

I agree. No one deserves rape. And no one deserves to be fasley accused of rape, either. What a disservice this case was for the true rape victims.

Wow. No one deserves to be presumed gulity before we have all the facts. We need to think before we crucify an innocent person.

The charges were dropped at 2:30pm today even before the 3pm hearing. The alleged "victim" recanted her story and admitted she filed false charges. Please check with Douglas County court to see for yourselves the public record.
This young man was put through the ringer-but this girl must have alot of problems to say something so horrific. They both, the young man and girl need our prayers-not our judgments.
