Favre investigation still ongoing

? The NFL still is investigating allegations that Vikings quarterback Brett Favre sent lewd photos and inappropriate text messages to a New York Jets game hostess two years ago, with the door open to a conversation between the woman and league officials.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said Friday the review is ongoing.

“At this point we have not reached any conclusions,” Aiello said. “We will continue to pursue opportunities to speak with individuals that potentially have information.”

Phil Reese, the manager for the former hostess, Jenn Sterger, told the Associated Press that she is “strongly considering” speaking with NFL officials conducting the probe.

“We’re certainly headed in that direction,” added her lawyer, Joseph Conway. “We do have a dialogue with the NFL in terms of a potential meeting. There’s nothing definitive.”

The New York Daily News first reported that Sterger may meet with NFL investigators next week, citing unidentified sources.

Colts TE Clark finished for season

Indianapolis — Pro Bowl tight end Dallas Clark was put on injured reserve Friday and will have season-ending wrist surgery. Clark said he met with three surgeons before the decision and plans to return next year for a ninth season.

In other NFL news:

• Buffalo starting defensive tackle Kyle Williams is questionable to play at Baltimore this weekend, leaving the Buffalo Bills’ already porous run defense with a big hole to fill.

• Miami Dolphins first-round draft pick Jared Odrick has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

• It looks like journeyman Todd Bouman will make his first start in nearly five years. The Jacksonville Jaguars ruled out starter David Garrard on Friday because of a concussion and listed backup Trent Edwards as questionable due to a badly sprained thumb on his throwing hand. That leaves Bouman as the healthiest and most knowledgeable option on the roster.

• Tennessee quarterback Vince Young has missed a third straight practice due to a sprained left knee and ankle and is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.

• Playing through pain is something Justin Tuck is just used to. The New York Giants defensive lineman didn’t miss a game last season, in fact, despite a damaged shoulder courtesy of Cowboys left tackle Flozell Adams.

So it should come as no surprise, that although he missed practice Friday because of an ankle sprain, Tuck has no intentions of missing Monday’s pivotal NFC East showdown with Dallas (1-4).

“I’ll be out (at practice) tomorrow,” Tuck said Friday. “I’ll play.”

• Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher excused Kenny Britt from practice Friday and is giving him the benefit of the doubt while he gathers information about a bar fight the coach says the wide receiver tried to break up.

• Minnesota Vikings safety Husain Abdullah will not play against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night because of a concussion.

• The New York Jets have waived linebacker Kenwin Cummings, who played mostly on special teams for them.

• Jason Campbell’s injured left knee is improving, and he is expected to be able to start this weekend for the Raiders against Denver if he has no setbacks.
