Altrusa International of Lawrence, a local nonprofit service organization, will have a public open house for community members to find out more about the club, its mission, members and service to our community. The free event will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Lawrence Public Library Auditorium, 707 Vt.
