Blog: Democratic group pulls focus from Moore campaign

A Washington, D.C., political blog reported that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee had reduced ad buys in several House races, including Stephene Moore’s campaign in the 3rd U.S. House district which includes east Lawrence.

Moore faces state Rep. Kevin Yoder, R-Overland Park, in the Nov. 2 election.

Hotline On Call said the ad buy movements show the DCCC’s final TV strategy.

“The DCCC is taking money and investing it in races where it believes it has a better shot of winning in November,” the report said.

Trevor Willett, a spokesman for the Moore campaign, said he was unaware of the DCCC’s efforts, and noted the campaign cannot coordinate with third-party efforts.

“Our focus is on our race,” he said. “We are happy where we are,” he said.
