KU women’s golf team finishes 9th in N.M.

? Junior Katy Nugent fired a final round 72 to finish tied for 22nd and help Kansas University’s women’s golf team to its fourth straight top-10 finish this season, as the Jayhawks placed ninth at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Intercollegiate on Wednesday.

Red-shirt freshman Thanuttra Boonraksasat also had a strong final round, shooting a career-best 70 to finish tied for 35th.

KU’s Meghna Bal placed 34th, Grace Thiry and Jennifer Clark tied for 40th, and Megan Potee, competing as an individual, tied for 28th.

The Jayhawks will conclude the fall portion of the schedule at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate on Oct. 25 and 26 in Kiawah Island, S.C.
