Overland Park ? Lawrence High’s girls golf team finished sixth and Free State was ninth at the Shawnee Mission South Tournament on Monday at Overland Park Golf Course.

The event served as the second leg of the Sunflower League Championship.

LHS recorded a 392, while Free State tallied a 433. Shawnee Mission East won with a 318.

Kathryn Lunte, who tied for 17th, led the Lions with a 93. Taylor and Payton Covert followed with a 95 and 97, respectively. Also competing for LHS were Attie Pennybaker (97), Quillen Eichhorn (110) and Kelsey Consolver (117).

Free State’s Alyson Butler finished 30th with a 100. Also competing for the Firebirds were Madison Brumley (107), Serena O’Connor (112), Bethany Cobbs (114) and Natalie Johnston (124).

SM East’s Anne Willman took first with a 71.
