Lawrence High’s football team stunned previously undefeated Olathe East, 27-21, on Friday night at the LHS field.

Sophomore quarterback Brad Strauss threw for three touchdowns — to Aaron Gile, Anthony Buffalomeat, Chris Gaston — and Charles Jackson scored a rushing TD for the Lions, 3-2.

Free State High fell to Shawnee Mission East, 28-21, at the Firebirds’ field.

Quarterback Dylan Perry had two rushing touchdowns for the Firebirds, 3-2. SM East improved to 4-1.
