Prep football roundup: Olathe North falls in 6A
Topeka ? Dreamius Smith ran for 286 yards and four touchdowns to lead Wichita Heights over Olathe North, 48-14, to claim the Kansas Class 6A football state championship.
The game was a rematch of last year’s championship game, which Olathe North won, 37-3. This time, there was never any doubt Saturday as the Falcons burst out to a 28-0 halftime lead.
Smith scored on runs of 85, 60, 30 and 10 yards to help Wichita Heights (13-0) win its first championship. Quarterback Matt Reed ran for 127 yards and two touchdowns and passed for another score.

Blue Valley 35, Bishop Carroll 14
Emporia — Kyle Zimmerman threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns to lead Blue Valley to its fifth Class 5A state title.
Class 4A
Louisburg 24, Holton 16
Salina — Louisburg overcame a 10-0 first-quarter deficit against Holton to win its first state championship.
Class 3A
Silver Lake 27, Conway Springs 21
Hutchinson — Keenan Kruger threw for two touchdowns and ran for one as Silver Lake beat Conway Springs to claim the Class 3A title.
Class 2-1A
Meade 20, Pittsburg/St. Mary’s Colgan 14
Hays — Meade used a dominating running attack to claim the Class 2-1A state football championship.
