Commissioners unanimously agreed to move ahead with a demolition of a vacant house at 1200 Pa.

The out-of-state owner has conceded the dilapidated house needs to be removed but has said he can’t commit to the project. State law allows the city to tear the house down and recoup the costs by placing an assessment on the property. The demolition won’t occur until a 30-day waiting period has expired.
