Lawrence man arrested after threatening family member with knife

A 55-year-old Lawrence man was arrested Saturday afternoon after threatening a family member with a knife. According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Dave Hubbel, the incident occurred about 5:26 p.m. at the suspect’s residence. The man had gotten into an argument with family members and pulled a knife on one. He then left the residence in his truck. Officers located the vehicle near Second and Locust Streets and took the suspect into custody.

No one was injured during the incident. The man was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
