MUSKOGEE, OKLA. ? Haskell Indian Nations University’s women’s basketball team defeated Central Baptist College, 67-60, on Friday at the Bacone Classic.

Sharelle Begay scored 17 points and Candice Yazzie 10 for Haskell, which trailed by five at halftime.

“We forced them into 22 turnovers. It was one of our best defensive efforts,” coach Phil Homeratha said.

Haskell (2-2) will play Rheema Bible College today at the Classic.
