Fort opens complex for wounded soldiers

? Army officials have opened a $54 million complex for wounded soldiers at Fort Riley.

The Manhattan Mercury reported that a ribbon cutting ceremony was held this past week for the Warrior Transition Battalion complex at Fort Riley.

The facility replaces a collection of temporary buildings.

The new project has a barracks, a Soldier and Family Assistance Center, battalion headquarters and company operating facilities.

Most soldiers being treated in the complex will have some sort of behavioral illness such as post traumatic stress disorder or traumatic brain injuries.
