A gas line break forced the evacuation of the Eudora Community Center on Tuesday.

Eudora fire crews were called to the center, in the 1600 block of Elm Street, around noon, after construction crews installing a parking lot hit a gas line.

Parks and Recreation Director Tammy Hodges said about 15 people inside the building had to be evacuated for two hours while the gas odor dissipated.
