? Junior Brian Heere went 2-for-3 with a home run and four runs scored, while junior Wally Marciel recorded a career-high eight strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings of scoreless relief as Kansas knocked off Arkansas-Little Rock, 11-8 Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.

Kansas jumped on Trojan starting pitcher Calvin Drinnen for seven runs in the first two innings, but needed to hold off a furious ninth-inning to claim the win. Arkansas-Little Rock scored six runs in the bottom of the ninth to draw within 11-8, but Colton Murray fanned Brock Feldman and pinch hitter Tim Emmons to earn his fourth save.
