Baltimore ? he Kansas City Royals have purchased the contract of relief pitcher Bryan Bullington from Triple-A Omaha and optioned first baseman Kila Ka’aihue to the same club.

Bullington, who was drafted No. 1 overall in 2002 by Pittsburgh, was 2-0 with a 1.73 ERA in seven games this season at Omaha.
