An exhibit from the Negro Leagues Museum in Kansas City will be displayed this weekend at Hoglund Ballpark during the Kansas-Missouri Border Showdown series. Fans can view the exhibit at the ballpark free of charge.

The display is being used to promote the Negro Leagues Museum, which is located in downtown Kansas City, Mo. It is one of three traveling exhibits and features the likeness of several Negro League greats who played during the league’s hey day in the early part of the 20th century.

“This is an important part of not only baseball history, but the history of our great country,” Kansas coach Ritch Price said. “I’m proud of the fact that we can honor these great players and teams of the Negro Leagues this weekend.”

The exhibit will be located on the concourse at Hoglund Ballpark behind the bleachers on the first base side of the field. One of the players featured prominently in the display is former Kansas City Monarch Buck O’Neil.
