Kansas announces firm that will conduct review

Kansas University has announced that Foulston Siefkin, LLP, a Wichita-based law firm, will conduct an independent review of Kansas Athletics ticketing and fundraising operations.

Foulston Siefkin has retained the services of BKD, LLP, a national accounting and auditing firm, to assist in conducting the investigation.

KU athletic director Lew Perkins informed Williams Fund donors of the university’s decision in an e-mail late Tuesday afternoon that the cost of the review will be paid by KU’s athletic department, and no taxpayer or tuition dollars will be used.

“As was stated by the chancellor last week, this independent review will be thorough and exhaustive, and it will be completed in as timely a manner as possible. A report will be made public upon the conclusion of the review,” Perkins said in the e-mail.
