Tempe, Ariz. — Torii Hunter hit his first two homers of spring, Hideki Matsui connected for the first time and Mike Napoli for his fifth, and Los Angeles beat a Kansas City split squad Wednesday using what likely will be the Angels’ opening-day lineup.

Royals starter Brian Bannister allowed six hits and five runs over four innings with three walks and two strikeouts.

Surprise, Ariz. — John Bowker hit two home runs, including a grand slam, and drove in seven runs.

Bowker, who leads the majors with 18 RBIs in the spring, hit a grand slam in the sixth off Brad Thompson.

Bowker had a solo homer in the fourth off Kyle Farnsworth.
