Hana Lindbloom of De Soto and Clay Weinaug of Lawrence, both first-year students at William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo., were named Cardinal Scholar Athletes for the fall 2009 semester, by earning a 3.0 grade-point average.

Lindbloom, an instrumental music education major, participates in tennis; and Weinaug, a nursing major, participates in cross country.

Katelyn Truscello, Lawrence, was named to the dean’s list for the 2009 fall semester in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, by earning a grade-point average of at least 3.5.

Amy and James Gabriel, Eudora, announce the birth of their daughter, Emree Clare Gabriel, on March 9, 2010, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.

Emree has a brother, Tucker Gabriel, 11.

Her maternal grandparents are Richard and Lynda Thorpe, Papillion, Neb.; and her paternal grandparents are Robert and Dee Gabriel, Eudora.
