Kids Wrestling: Reece Wright-Conklin, Ben Seybert, Spencer Wilson, Andrew Denning and Tristan Star of Lawrence Sunflower Kids Wrestling Club earned first places at the sub-district tourney Saturday in Holton. Seconds went to Sterling Ozark, Josh Seybert, Garett Girard, Xavier Kenney and Alan Clothier. Zech Warren placed third, while Brad Wilson and Ryan Bellinger earns fourths. At the middle-school state meet Sunday, Bellinger, Star and Clothier placed third and Girard fifth.

Waugh Hole-in-One: Jerry Waugh used a hybrid club to ace the No. 8 hole Sunday at Alvamar Country Club. Witnesses were Scot Buxton and Mike Scott.
