Troop 53 conducted a campout March 5-7. Third year Scouts spent Saturday in junior leadership training. They worked on teamwork and the patrol method while playing games and learning how to lead younger Scouts. The March campout is also the time when the troop has its tap out ceremony for members elected into the Order of the Arrow, the Boy Scout national honor camping society. Those selected by their peers were: Alex Clabaugh, Patrick Liston, Matt Mitchell, Matthew Siler, Andrew Ornburn, Ivan Davidson, Ryan Liston, Adam Auer, Cole Overton, Carson Gilliland and Anthony Van Schmus.
