Journal-World wins APSE Triple Crown

The Journal-World was one of 10 newspapers that won the coveted Triple Crown in the Associated Press Sports Editors’ writing and section contests.

The Journal-World placed in the top 10 in each of three divisions for its circulation category: daily sections, Sunday sections and special sections, in the under-20,000 division.

Additionally, the J-W placed in the top 10 in Sunday sections for papers in the under-40,000 circulation category and in the second 10 (honorable mention) in Sunday and special sections in the larger division.

J-W sports writer Dugan Arnett also earned a top-10 finish in the under-40,000 breaking news competition.
