If you are interested in participating in the Lawrence Community Garden project, there’s a planning meeting today.
The meeting is scheduled for 4 p.m. today at the Lawrence Public Library gallery, 707 Vt.
Organizers are Rachael Perry and Sarah Wertzberger. For more information, e-mail Rachael at rachaelpea@gmail.com.
They say there are a number of ways to get involved:
• You can have your own plot to grow produce and flowers.
• You can share a plot with other gardeners.
• You can help with upkeep such as mowing, weeding and fence maintenance.
• You can help with work days and special occasions, such as potlucks or contests.
• Or maybe you are interested in starting another community garden in town.
The Lawrence Community Garden is in the 900 block of Mississippi Street.
