Agency bowl-a-thon raises $80,000
More than $80,000 in pledges and corporate sponsorships was raised during Big Brothers Big Sisters’ annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake event.
One of the organization’s largest fundraisers, the event took place on Feb. 26, Feb. 27 and March 6.
Donations will go toward operating funds for the rest of the year.
The bowling team with the highest pledges was led by Becky Price and raised almost $3,000. Evan Williams, who collected more than $2,000, was the individual with the highest pledges.
Team awards went to the InTrust Bank Team led by Alisa Medina for The Bank Bowl Challenge, the McGrew Realty Company led by Heather Salb for the Real Estate Bowl Challenge and Pi Beta Phi sorority for the KU Student Team.
