Kansas University announced the appointment of John J. Conard, Greensburg newspaper publisher, KU graduate and former legislator, as director of university relations and development. Chancellor Laurence Chalmers said Conard would work in a variety of fields to help bolster the KU image and establish better rapport with legislators.
