From the Lawrence Daily World for March 8, 1910: “An important deal in real estate was completed today when the Phi Delta Theta fraternity bought the C.W. Sparr home on south Tennessee for $12,000. This is one of the largest and most elegant homes in the city and will make an ideal fraternity house. Ownership takes place June 1.”
