Forty-five Scouts from Troop 53 spent the night Feb. 20 at Emerald City Gym in Overland Park. Scouts were able to use trampolines, a foam pit and rope swing. In addition, the boys chose from more than a dozen climbing paths to scale a rock wall more than 30 feet tall. The overnight concluded with a game of dodge ball, a vault competition and a movie.

More than 50 Scouts, friends and families attended the Blue and Gold celebration for Cub Scout Pack 3064 on Feb. 27 at the Eudora United Methodist Church. Following an ice breaker skit led by Webelos den leader Matt Jones, the pack meeting was opened by Cubmaster Tim Middleton. Following prayer by Pelathe District Commissioner John Scott, certificates of appreciation were presented to many of the adult Scouters present.

Tiger Cubs Nathaniel Criqui, Kevin Shankland and Brett Freisberg received Tiger badges from the Cubmaster, assisted by Tiger Cub den leader Jerry Criqui.

Logan Grauberger received a Wolf badge. Hunter Ellis, Dalton Jones and Collyn Athey received Bear badges. Scouter Matt Jones received a special thanks from the Cubmaster for all the work he does.

First year Webelos Ronnie Middleton and Hunter Darling received Webelos badges and colors. Second year Webelos Morgan Jones, Dakota Coble, Jacob Cowles, Nick Seuer and Phillip Searight received Arrow of Light awards. Glenn Jackson, representing Akela, leader of all Cub Scouts, explained the badge can be worn on their Boy Scout uniform, after they graduate from the pack into Boy Scouts.

Scott Gates presented a Friends of Scouting campaign for the Pelathe District. Following the presentation, Scoutmaster Glenn Jackson welcomed Nick Seurer, Jacob Cowles, Dakota Coble, Phillip Searight and Morgan Jones to Eudora Boy Scout Troop 64 and gave them their Boy Scout uniform epaulets.

Pack 3064, sponsored by the Eudora United Methodist Church, meets on Tuesday and Thursday at Nottingham Community Center. Boys interested in joining, may call unit commissioner Amye Scott, at 542-3510.
