100 years ago: Road project moving forward
From the Lawrence Daily World for March 4, 1910: “After spending time in Kansas City with the operators of the Hocker-Dixon Line, technically known as the Kansas City, Lawrence and Topeka Electric Interurban, Dr. A.P. Hults found that amazing progress is being made on our behalf. Cars are now running as far as Shawnee and Zarah and the service could well reach Lawrence yet this year.”
