Lawrence firefighters were called to a vacant apartment building Tuesday night for a reported fire.

Crews arrived at 1904 W. 24th St. at 7:30 p.m. to find smoke coming from a unit on the second floor.

A sign in the front of the building indicated the 13-unit apartment was for sale.

The fire in the northeast corner of the building damaged three units, on the first, second and third floors. No damage estimate was available Tuesday night. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
