University Bridge Club announces results of its June 19 meeting, with hosts Rhetta Jo Noever, Bonnie Haney and Steven Bogler.

Blue winners were Paul Jordan, first; Steven Bogler, second; Willie Stoltenberg, third; Lois Liebert, fourth; and Alice Akin, fifth.

Pink winners were Florence McNicoll, first; Hazel Stellmacher, second; Cathy Stephens, third; Carol Smith, fourth; and Myrna Ikenberry, fifth.

Fraternal Order of Eagles, Mt. Oread No. 309 in Lawrence raised $3,000 during the Inaugural Fire in the Hole BBQ Contest. The proceeds are being donated to Douglas County Toys for Tots.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on June 21 utilized the Howell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. Winners were Ed Howard and John Fittell, first in A; Steven Vossler and Larry Weatherholt, second in A; Julia Dalton and Lester Dalton, third in A and first in B; Virginia Seaver and Craig Huneke, fourth in A; and Grant Sutton and Sidney Sutton, second in B.
