The Kanwaka 4-H Club met June 14. Kyleigh Leslie and Connor Rainey led the club in the flag salute and club pledge. Roll call, led by Kyle Rainey, was answered by, “What have you been doing this summer?”

Morgan Leslie, the recreation leader, led the club in “Snake Tag.” Martha Keslar gave a reporter’s report. Cairy Rainey asked who was going to 4-H camp. She also asked how many hay bales the club wanted to decorate for the fair’s new competition. The theme of this year’s fair is “Dare to be Different.” Fair entry forms are due June 30.

The club discussed the annual mini fair and farm tour and decided to do both events at 4 p.m. July 25.

Stuart Wakeman, president, talked about fixing up his tractor for his project in FFA. Wakeman is doing a complete restoration on a 1956 propane tractor.

The next meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. July 12 and the August meeting will be at 4 p.m. July 25. The club motto was led by people with June birthdays, and the Raineys served ice cream sandwiches for refreshments.
