Overland Park ? The second-largest city in Kansas is celebrating its 50th birthday.

Overland Park merchants put on a pre-party Friday night with live music and a vintage fashion show. Today there will be clowns, live music, food, arts and crafts vendors, along with the usual farmers’ market.

Overland Park has nearly 175,000 residents.
