Police group endorses attorney general for re-election

Kansas Attorney General Steve Six has been endorsed by the Kansas State Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police.

“The Kansas FOP is proud to endorse Attorney General Steve Six,” said Pete Fogarty, Kansas FOP president.

“Steve Six has worked tirelessly to restore the integrity and independence of the attorney general’s office. We can’t go back now,” he said.

The Kansas State Lodge of FOP represents more than 3,150 law enforcement officers.

The group’s general election endorsement was made at the annual FOP conference earlier this month in Great Bend.

Six, a Democrat, will face the winner of the Republican Party primary between Senate Majority Leader Derek Schmidt of Independence and Ralph De Zago, who is the city prosecutor in Junction City.
