KUsports.com launches draft contest

Ever wanted to participate in the NBA Draft?

Here’s your chance — sort of.

Introducing the first KUsports.com NBA Draft contest, a competition that provides you, the KU basketball fan, the chance to show off how your knowledge of the college game might translate to the professional level.

You’ll be predicting where Cole Aldrich, Xavier Henry and Sherron Collins will be selected in this year’s NBA Draft (June 24, New York).

We’re not asking you to pick the teams they end up with, just the spot in the draft that they’ll be selected.

No matter how it all shakes down, even if one player, like Darrell Arthur was in 2008, is traded several times on draft night, the only number that will matter for this contest is which one was read when he was first drafted.

To enter, log on to KUsports.com for a complete list of rules and a link to the entry form.

Entries will be accepted until noon, Central time, on Draft Day.

If you’re submitting an entry from the website, you’ll need to be a registered user. If you’d rather just e-mail in your selections, that’s fine, too. E-mail your picks to nbadraftcontest@kusports.com.

The winner will receive a Paul Pierce Boston Celtics jersey and a Pioneer Blu-ray disc player.
