— For the sixth straight year, Sen. Marci Francisco, D-Lawrence, has achieved a perfect attendance record in the Kansas Legislature.

“In her second term, Senator Francisco continues to be a strong voice for Douglas County, especially on education and environmental issues,” said Senate Democratic Leader Anthony Hensley, of Topeka. “In six years, she has never missed a single vote or roll call, exemplifying how seriously she takes her legislative duties,” Hensley said.

During the 2010 legislative session, Francisco was one of 10 state senators who had perfect attendance.

On some days, no votes were cast in the Senate. A total of 26 state senators, including Francisco, voted on each of the 399 recorded votes during the session.

Too bad she's such a nut job. I would rather she not show up and vote!

Thanks for a job well done, Marci. Fortunately Rokchalk is not representative of the people in Lawrence.

Compared with most members of the Kansas legislature, she's a genius. That's an admittedly low bar; nevertheless, she votes the right way most of the time.

I don't always agree with how she votes, but i appreciate that if she's going to represent us that she takes it seriously. Good job.

Are they giving out a Ms. (or Mr.) Congeniality award, too?

Gee, remember how we all admired those kids in school who got the perfect attendance awards?

"a strong voice for Douglas County, especially on education and environmental issues"

Hmmm, Seems to me our schools have no money and as far as the enviroment goes what has she done? Very vague article. Is she voting yea, nay or just present? One more point I would like to make is she is getting paid and I would fully expect her to be doing her job.
