Lawrence senator again achieves perfect attendance

? For the sixth straight year, Sen. Marci Francisco, D-Lawrence, has achieved a perfect attendance record in the Kansas Legislature.

“In her second term, Senator Francisco continues to be a strong voice for Douglas County, especially on education and environmental issues,” said Senate Democratic Leader Anthony Hensley, of Topeka. “In six years, she has never missed a single vote or roll call, exemplifying how seriously she takes her legislative duties,” Hensley said.

During the 2010 legislative session, Francisco was one of 10 state senators who had perfect attendance.

On some days, no votes were cast in the Senate. A total of 26 state senators, including Francisco, voted on each of the 399 recorded votes during the session.
