Topeka Gov. Mark Parkinson on Thursday issued an executive order to form the Kansas Early Childhood Advisory Council.
The council will assess the availability of high-quality pre-kindergarten services.
“These young individuals are the future of Kansas, and an investment in their education is an investment in the future success of our communities and our state,” Parkinson said.
On Tuesday, Parkinson signed an executive order aimed at reducing the school dropout rate in Kansas.
