Emergency crews responded to an accident Tuesday afternoon on County Road 442 west of Lawrence. The accident was reported about 4:45 p.m. at County Road 442 and East 550 Road.

A Chevy pickup truck collided with a motorcycle, causing damage to both. The driver of the motorcycle was taken by ground ambulance to an area hospital.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department was re-routing traffic around the accident scene, which is about a mile west of the intersection of U.S. Highway 40 and Stull Road.
