Eudora Boy Scout Troop 64 participated in several activities over the Memorial Day weekend. The troop placed flags on veterans’ graves in seven area cemeteries including the Avenue of Flags at the Eudora Cemetery. Some members also attended the Bromelsick Memorial Ceremony at the Lawrence Oak Hill cemetery and the flag retirement ceremony at the VFW Hall on May 29. Flags from all cemeteries were then retrieved June 1 and stored for use next year. Those participating in one or more of the activities were Connor, Nathan and Patrick Bradley, Simon Elwell, Nathan Gentleman, Alex Whitten, Steven Wimmer, Dakota Coble, Andrew Briery, Glenn Jackson, Damon Bradley, Jerry Criqui, Rodney Coble, Kristen Coble, Duane Gentleman, Roy Wimmer, Greg Elwell, Brian Rome, John Scott and Elisabeth Bradley. The troop, sponsored by the Eudora Lions Club, meets at 7 p.m. on Mondays at Nottingham Community Center.
