The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for Douglas County starting at 7 p.m. tonight. The watch lasts through Sunday afternoon and includes several northeast Kansas counties.

Storms could develop in southern Kansas and move northeast to the area, according to the NWS. These storms could produce torrential rainfall at rates of 3 inches per hour or more.
