— A former campaign manager for Kansas Republican Jerry Moran is now publicly endorsing Moran’s main rival for the U.S. Senate.

But Moran’s campaign said Sunday the former staffer is disgruntled and called the letter a trick of the campaign for fellow Congressman Todd Tiahrt.

Paul Moore said Sunday that he’s backing Tiahrt for the GOP nomination, after coming to believe that Moran was not instinctively conservative. Moore was Moran’s campaign manager from February through mid-April.

Moore made his comments in an open letter to Republicans, which he provided to The Associated Press. He also sent it to Tiahrt’s campaign.

I will NEVER forget tiahrt apologizing to rush limbaugh. .. If he has no backbone to stand up to a radio personality, how will ever defend and represent Kansans effectively? http://thinkprogress.org/2009/04/20/tiahrt-limbaugh-apology/

I changed parties just to vote against Tiahrt. Not sure I felt that good about it until I saw Tiahrt was happy to advertise he was supported by the Tea Party and Sarah Palin. Moran is not "instinctively conservative" and that's a good thing. Republicans have been making mistakes voting in tea party people in primaries only to find out they are bad candidates (Sharron Angle, Rand Paul). I mean Henry Reid was dead in the water until Angle won the primary.

The Moran verse Tiahrt campaign shows everything that is wrong with politics.

With out picking sides, because I hate both of them, here is a perfect example of two politicians that are identical on almost every issue. But, they both want the same spot. They are just attacking each other. There is no discernable difference between the two of them and these two clowns are calling each other every name in the book.

I am not saying two liberals or two democrats or two whatever politicians would act any different. I am just saying I am sick of it in general and disgusted by it happening on either side or issue in the way these so called leaders conduct themselves.

But, it clearly shows why you cannot get people of merit into a political position.

"Paul Moore said Sunday that he’s backing Tiahrt for the GOP nomination, after coming to believe that Moran was not instinctively conservative. "

What the heck does that even mean? (unless he's acknowledging that there is very little thought involved in the current state of conservatism.)
