University Bridge Club announces results of its July 17 meeting, with hosts Al and Carol Smith.

Blue winners were Virginia Williams, first; Ray Ikenberry, second; John Golden, third; Harold Riehm, fourth; and Steven Bogler, fifth.

Pink winners were Lois Liebert, first; Donna Riehm, second; Wanda Kring, third; Bebe Huxtable, fourth; and Sadie Deaton, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 14 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Lois Clark and Jan O’Connor, first in A and B; Kent McCullough and Ed Howard, second in A; Dick Shaffer and Angie Davidson, third in A, second in B and first in C; Chris Lane and Patricia Lechtenberg, fourth in A and third in B; Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld, fourth in B; and Suzanne Wassmer and Betty Collier, second in C.

East-West winners were Vince Nordberg and Steven Vossler, first in A; Craig Huneke and Jeremy Martin, second in A, and first in B and C; Yvonne Hedges and Sally Taylor, third in A and second in B; Bobby Patton and John Fittell, fourth in A, third in B, and second in C; and Eldon Herd and Klee Zaricky, fourth in B.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 15 was directed by Chris Lane. Winners were Virginia Seaver and Sara Landau, first; Eldon Herd and Barbara Haverty, second; Jan O’Connor and Shannon O’Connor tied for third with Barbara Figgins and Patricia Lechtenberg.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 16 was directed by Virginia Seaver. East-West winners were Sally Taylor and Yvonne Hedges, first in A and B; Judy Hildreth and Carol Ball, second in A; Steven Vossler and Larry Weatherholt, third in A; Ed Howard and Clarice Broz, fourth in A; and Chris Lane and Eleanor Patton, second in B.

East-West winners were Elizabeth Jankord and partner, first in A; Emily Foster and Albert Ballard, second in A, and first in B and C; Claudia Broaddus and Sidney Sutton, third in A and second in B; and Catherine Blumenfeld and Ann Thompson, fourth in A, third in B, and second in C.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 19 was a North American Pairs qualifying round, utilized the Howell movement, and was directed by Virginia Seaver. Winners were Larry Weatherholt and Steven Vossler, first; Craig Huneke and Virginia Seaver, second in A; Vince Nordberg and Jim Stewart, third in A, and first in B and C; Julia Dalton and Mary Fenlon, fourth in A and second in B; John Fittell and Adelaide Nyquist tied for third in B and second in C with Jolene Andersen and Jean Khatib; and Al Ballard and Ann Thompson, qualified in C.
