Police searching for suspect in hit-and-run incident

A 28-year-old Lawrence woman was arrested Saturday morning in connection with a hit-and-run incident that occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Pine Haven Court.

A 26-year-old female driver and two passengers told police that another driver had intentionally ran into their vehicle a number of times, causing heavy damage to the passenger side.

Two of the occupants in the car complained of minor injuries.

The other driver, who was in a tan Honda Civic, had left the scene, but was known to the victims.

At around 7:30 a.m. Saturday, police arrested the 28-year-old woman in the 100 bock of Pinecone Drive on suspicion of aggravated battery and criminal damage to property. She was booked into the Douglas County Jail.
